boundaries can feel good. one day....

Updated: May 2

A couple embraces affectionately on a deserted tree-lined road. The sepia tone gives a vintage feel, enhancing the romantic mood.

Are you reaching? Are you open to receive? Think about it. When we come into conversation with another, are we already meeting them with our hands pushed away, and if so, why is that? How about if we start the process of having a boundary for ourselves so that we can know that we can have our arms and hands open to receive. If what we are met with isn’t resonating with us we can use our authentic voice to say, “No, thank you.” We can say, “Not now, but maybe in twenty minutes”. When we set boundaries with others we will find that our arms remain open to receive because the opposite, with hands turned out, can be exhausting. . How are you able to set boundaries with another and still remain open? This may not be a muscle we learned earlier in life but there still is time to practice new behavior. Please do, dear one… . . .
